Manchester United has parted ways with manager Erik ten Hag after a disappointing start to the season, leaving the club in 14th place in the Premier League.
Ten Hag’s tenure at Old Trafford, which lasted two and a half years, has come to an end following a poor performance in the current campaign. The 54-year-old former Ajax manager received support from the club’s new owners, INEOS, this summer, securing a contract extension through June 2026.
This backing came even after INEOS had considered several other candidates for the position, especially after United finished eighth last season— their worst top-flight result since 1990—despite winning the FA Cup.
